The Connecticut Gilbert & Sullivan Society was organized in 1980 and has presented one of the comic operettas of the famous duo each y ear since then, with full orchestra, costumes and scenery (click here to see a complete listing of our past shows). The satirical works have proved enduring, and we have aimed steadily to maintain W.S. Gilbert’s original staging and concepts for the productions. This faithfulness is an essential part of our reason for existing.

In some ways, ours is a labor of love as we present these treasures each year to appreciative audiences. But producing these imaginative and exuberant shows requires hard cash as well as hard work. We therefore welcome and encourage donations at any time. Now, however, as we prepare for this year’s production of
The Mikado on October 15, 16 and 17, is an excellent opportunity to contribute.

Please, therefore, in addition to your purchase of tickets, be generous and send the Connecticut Gilbert and Sullivan Society a tax-deductible contribution soon to help defray the cost of our 2010 edition of
Mikado at the state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center in the NEW Middletown High School.
